“She wanted her own story.”
Aja Gabel, The Ensemble

The year 2020 is the year I accepted viral social media “challenges” and before the year ends I want to make sure I share this super fun one that I did with my bookstagram favorites way back in June. This is actually the second one after the #BOOKSTASOLIDARITY Project and the same group is also cooking up a third as I write this post. For now, here’s our version of the popular Pass The Book Challenge, where we decided to feature our favorite underrated books! 💗
My personal pick was The Ensemble by Aja Gabel because it is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. It’s a perfect example of a character-driven plot, and the author’s skilled portrayal of the intricacies of human relationships (love, family, career, friendship) is still one of the best I’ve read in contemporary fiction. It definitely deserves more love, same as all the books included in our video. Below is the full list of titles with Goodreads links so you can check them out and maybe add them to your Want To Read list. Links to participating bloggers/ bookstagrammers are in the IGTV above.
