“Good friends, good books, and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life.” –Mark Twain
It was only later on in life that I realized that not everyone has good memories from their high school years. That is why I am really thankful to my group of friends for making an emotionally challenging phase for everyone’s life a bit easier and bearable. There were seven of us, and we called ourselves Mimic–based on the horror movie we all enjoyed watching at the time. We formed our group as a class project back in 1999, and 20 years later, we’re still as tight as ever.
Last weekend we decided to celebrate by hitting the beach. We chose El Pescador Resort Hotel in Bolinao, Pangasinan. They have both pools and a beachfront so it was perfect for a weekend getaway. I took a lot of photos and I thought I ought to share them with you guys. I have been wanting to do more non-bookish posts in this blog moving forward, and I think this is a great place to start. Hope you like them! 💗
We also took some time to explore the lovely Patar beach.

All photos aside from the last group photo are taken by me using my iPhone, edited using Lightroom and Afterlight. 👍🏻 Apologies if you came here looking for travel tips and details for El Pescador Resort, as I am not a travel blogger and I didn’t think of taking notes–I just really enjoyed the view and took lots of landscape photos. I do hope the photos still convince you to visit Bolinao, Pangasinan.
Do you also love going to the beach? Which ones are your favorite? Let’s chat in the comments ☀️

I love all the photos, but the second on is absolutely brilliant! You should have it printed and frame it. 😍
I love the seashore. We used to go every sumner when I was a youngster, but sadly I haven’t been in years and years. I hope to go in the next couple of years though. 🌅

Thank you. I should print more of my photos. We’re so used to the digital format and haven’t done that in a while ❤️
